Main Purpose of the Role
 
To enable young people to experience and youth programme activities, which are fun, safe, social, educational and inclusive. 
 
What will volunteers be required to do?
 
To work directly with children & young people (aged 4 – 17yr olds) to develop their social education through structured and supported programmes. 
Build rapport with young people and listen to concerns
Provide information and support to young people
Help create a positive environment for young people 
To supervise young people and ensure general health & safety and rules of conduct 
To facilitate and participate in games, activities and discussions with young people 
 
Requirements
 
Good communication 
Ability to work with others – a team player
Reliability An Interest or experience in working with young people 
Willingness to learn 
Ability to use initiative
