	Main Purpose of the Role 
	To enable young people to experience and youth programme activities, which are fun, safe, social, educational and inclusive. 
	What will volunteers be required to do? 
	• To work directly with children & young people (aged 4 – 17yr olds) to develop their social education through structured and supported programmes. 
	• Build rapport with young people and listen to concerns
	• Provide information and support to young people
	• Help create a positive environment for young people 
	• To supervise young people and ensure general health & safety and rules of conduct 
	• To facilitate and participate in games, activities and discussions with young people 
	Requirements 
	• Good communication 
	• Ability to work with others – a team player
	• Reliability  • An Interest or experience in working with young people 
	• Willingness to learn 
	• Ability to use initiative
	Qualities 
	•  Passion and enthusiasm
