Strabane & District Caring Services are currently recruiting a Support Volunteer for the Strabane Deeds Group (Dementia Engaged and Empowered in Derry & Strabane).
A SDCS spokesperson said: “The aim of the project is to enable people living with dementia to live better for longer within their own communities and to progress the Strabane area as a dementia-friendly region."
The project delivers weekly activity groups, weekly memory groups, carers education and respite initiatives as well as a programme of events and activities to reduce isolation and enhance emotional wellbeing.
Meeting every Tuesday between 11am - 1pm at the SDCS premises you will support the Deeds facilitator whilst engaging with the group participants.
