Volunteer / Cruse Bereavement Support

Cruse Bereavement Support Volunteers provide support to children and young people affected by the death of someone close to them, they provide group support and 1-1 to children aged 7-18yrs.  If you have the skills listed below and want to make a difference to the lives of bereaved children and young people then register your interest today:

  • Passionate about supporting children and young people
  • Kind and inclusive
  • Great communication skills with children, young people and families
  • Able to be part of a team
  • Able to use a computer / IT skills
  • Willing to take part in training and learn new skills
  • Commit to 6-8 hrs per month for at least 2 yrs

There will be two mandatory training courses running this year and applicants must attend all scheduled sessions:

Course1:

Sat 5 July '25 / Sat 12 July '25 / Sat 19 July '25 / Sat 26 July '25 / Sat 2 Aug '25 / Sat 9 Aug '25

Course 2:

Sat 4 Oct '25 / Sat 11 Oct '25 / Sat 18 Oct '25 / Sat 25 Oct '25 / Sat 1 Nov '25 / Sat 8 Nov '25

Cruse is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people.  Volunteers must comply with all relevant AccessNI check requests and attend regular Cruse safeguarding training.
