Join Parkinson's UK to help support people with Parkinson's and change lives.  Based at St Columb's Park House, Parkinson's UK are currently recruiting for the following volunteer roles:

Support Group Co-ordinator (Foyle)

As Foyle Group Coordinator you will be leading the small team of volunteers to organise group meetings and activities - providing support, information and friendship to local people affected by the condition.  This role offers real variety and is hugely safisfying as you see immediately how your involvement helps people.  You will be meeting with the other volunteers on a monthly basis to plan for the group, be comfortable managing the conversations and ensuring tasks are delegated appropriately within the team.  As co-ordinator you will also be the contact for the wider Parkinson's UK team.  You will have full support from your staff contact to ensure you are happy and comfortable within your role.

Support Group Volunteer

Parkinson's UK Foyle Group has a perfect volunteer opportunity for someone with a secretarial or admin background who is looking to change the lives of people living with Parkinson's.  The group needs help to maintain their contact list, send out the monthly newsletter and record the notes of the committee meetings.  It offers information, friendship and support to local people affected by the condition and it is often a real lifeline when people are isolated.  It is organised by a small team of volunteers who all share the responsibilities involved and you will be a key part of this team.  You will be a contact for the wider Parkinson's UK team and will have full support from your staff contact.
