Community Volunteer / RNID

About the Role

Community Volunteers play an important part in helping RNID create a world where people who are deaf or have hearing loss can fully participate in everyday life. The role is flexible, open to anyone aged 18+, and involves two key activities:

1. Presenting and Giving Information
Sharing information about deafness, hearing loss and tinnitus with community groups, either in person or online.

2. Helping People Check Their Hearing
Supporting individuals to complete simple hearing checks and signposting them to further support.

This opportunity is available throughout Northern Ireland (BHSCT, NHSCT, SEHSCT, SHSCT and WHSCT). Volunteers can commit as little or as often as they like, with no fixed schedule.
